TEAM CHEVY POST RACE NOTES AND QUOTES:

CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS CAMARO ZL1 – Race Winner

ELLIOTT’S CHASE ENDS TODAY. I TALKED TO ALAN GUSTAFSON THIS MORNING AND HE SAID, ‘WE WAS NOT VERY GOOD YESTERDAY’. WHAT DO YOU TWO JOIN TO BE VERY DOMINANT?

“Had some good circumstances at last. Really appreciate Alan (Gustafson, crew chief) and our entire team, the No. Chevrolet team. 9 for keeping it. We had some difficult races in the last few years, I don’t know, four, five months. Great to get NAPA back on Victory Lane; great to bring Hendrick Motorsports back to Victory Lane.

Just very proud. This one means a lot in a lot of different ways. Just appreciate all the effort. But thanks to all the fans for coming. You are always amazing. Hope to see this big crowd here next year. Many thanks to everyone involved. It was a great day and we will definitely enjoy it.

As I told them after the race – those guys, they deserved it for a while. Glad we got past the first line. We’ll enjoy it for a few days and get to work next week.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR., NO. 47 KROGER / THE FROZEN FARMER CAMARO ZL1 – 2nd Place

“Our team has put together a very good race car. Many of our good races, we have problems. You know we’re good at some of the bigger tracks. Our short-track program must have missed a bit, but you know it’s a great day to get The Frozen Farmer, you know it’s a first in a car. They are from 40 minutes down the road. Their whole family is here, and we had a great weekend with them.

It was a pleasure to work with them and really for our entire store. We feel like we are better than where we are now as a racing team. We’ve collected a lot of fast racing cars, it’s just that we don’t have much to show you yet. Very happy with today’s performance. It’s a tough battle out there. The track is tough. The cars were hard to drive. Our car was called and our pit crew did a great job on the pit roads. Just come one short place. ”

ROSS CHASTAIN, NO. 1 PITBULL TOUR 2022 CAMARO ZL1 – 3rd Place

YOU CANNOT DISTURB NO. 19 (MARTIN TRUEX JR.) WHAT ARE YOU SAYING TO EVERYTHING THERE?

We talked about where we’re going fishing next week. No, very proud of this effort. I think we are the fifth place car. Some men have had the misfortune of having a warning come out. It makes us lead.

The pit crew were amazing today. They just took their place at every stop, leaving us in the lead. I raced with the champions and I was beaten.”

ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 48 ALLY CAMARO ZL1 – Completed 5th

ROSS CHASTAIN SAYS WE JUST FIGHT THERE. DO YOU SEE THAT?

“No, but I know how Ross (Chastain) races, so I’m sure he’s just fighting hard. But yeah, just a disappointing day for us because obviously we have a chance to win there with the Chevrolet Ally No. 48 us; and then caution in the middle of the pit cycle made us start the final last run. Being last to fifth in a place like this is nothing to be ashamed of as it is difficult to get past. As far as my guys and the race car we’re driving, just hoping it gets a little better for us.”

WHAT IS YOUR CHALLENGE TODAY?

“Starting last on the last lap. There’s no other way to say it. It’s hard around this place. ”

JUSTIN HALEY, NO. 31 LEAFFILTER GUTTER PROTECTION CAMARO ZL1 – 11th finish

“Our LeafFilter Gutter Protection No. 31, Camaro ZL1 was fast on Dover. We led a few laps and stayed in front long enough until our tires start to go. We struggled a bit in the dirty air which got really tight, but we were able to bounce back and almost get the top 10 out of it. We really made some gains today and were the best all year round.”

AUSTIN DILLON, NO. 3 BREZTRI CAMARO ZL1 – 23rd finish

“We found out why they called Dover Motor Speedway ‘The Monster Mile’. It was a long and difficult few days. Our BREZTRI AEROSPHERE® (budesonide, glycopyrrolate and formoterol fumarate) Inhaled Camaro ZL1 Aerosol is not great for most races. We struggled with a very stiff front end and tight handling conditions, no matter what chassis adjustments we made. However, team No. These 3 never give up. We worked hard to make adjustments and finally started to handle a bit better with about 60 laps left in the race. By then, we were running a pretty good lap time but it was too late to make a lot of ground. That’s not what we wanted this weekend, but we will regroup and head to Darlington Raceway.”
