Ford, Lexus among vehicles recalled this week

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for April 21 to 28, including Ford recalls involving 652,996 units and Lexus recalls involving 458,054 units. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling select iX xDrive40, iX XDrive50, and iX M60 2022-2023 vehicles. The airbag malfunction indicator light and display message may not light if there is a problem with the airbag control or pedestrian protection system, due to faulty software. 1,029 units affected. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 F-150, Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 vehicles. Due to poor electrical connections, the rear view camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Compass vehicles. The front seat headrests are not welded properly. Accordingly, this vehicle fails to meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, “Head Control.” 114 units affected. Read more

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Lexus) is recalling certain 2022 NX250, NX350, NX350h and NX450h+ vehicles. Missing weld points between the body panel and the front shock absorber mounting area can cause the front shock absorbers to separate from the mounting area. 4,215 units affected. Read more

Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) recalls Lexus LX 2022, Lexus NX HEV, Lexus NX PHEV, Toytoa RAV4 HEV, Lexus LS HEV 2021-2022, Toyota Mirai, RAV4 PRIME, Sienna, Venza, and Toyota Highlander HEV 2020-2022 vehicles . The ECU’s Skid Control software may not start the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system when the vehicle is restarted after the driver has disabled the VSC system.
